Recycled EPS granules on the attic floor
We lay a layer of recycled EPS granules – polystyrene from recycling, shredded into granules – on the ceiling of an unused attic. Less heat escapes from the heated rooms through the roof, and the material gets a second life.
- Half the price of mineral woolRecycled granules cost up to PLN 100 per 1 m³.
- Mice and martens do not nest in itUnlike mineral wool, rodents and martens do not build nests in recycled granules.
- The whole layer in one goThe attic ceiling needs approx. 30 cm of insulation. Mineral wool comes in 15 cm rolls, so it has to be laid in two layers.
